At Crest Hill Bakery, master baker David Neville has perfected a way to bring you fresh-baked bread from your own oven, with all of the rich texture and flavor of European Hearth Baked breads. Our customers tell us that its as good as buying fresh rolls from our bakery!
All Natural Ingredients
We start by using only the finest natural ingredients available (we never add preservatives or conditioners to our doughs). The Soft Dinner Roll recipe begins with fresh whole eggs and unbleached wheat flour. Filtered water, bakers yeast, sea salt, and unrefined sugar are blended with soya oil to produce a silky-soft egg dough.
Baked in Stone-Lined Ovens
Our skilled bakers allow the dough to rise several times before shaping the rolls and placing them so they will rise joined together a final time, hours later. Then they are brushed with beaten fresh eggs and transferred to our French Ovens for baking. Under steady heat they develop their plump supple shape, soft flaky texture, rich color, and wonderful flavor.
More Than Just a Dinner Roll
These plump and moist, slightly sweet, egg-based rolls can be served warm with butter or eaten for snacks. Twelve mini sandwiches can be made by running a knife through the whole dozen, adding your savory fillings, and then splitting into bite-sized sandwiches. A perfect holiday dinner roll pack, but great for any occasion. |
